The most gorgeous tented wedding – UGH! I have been SO excited to write this post about the SWEETEST, most down to earth, authentic and JOYFUL couple- Dr. and Mrs. Alex Schloe. Stephanie Messick is a well established wedding photographer in the Virginia area and I was dying to work with her on her own wedding! She had the most amazing vision. (I mean, she HAS seen hundreds of weddings, so her ideas were INCREDIBLE!)
When we started planning, she exuded joy. Every time she spoke about her sweet love, Alex, Stephanie radiated happiness. They chose to marry at the stunning Market at Grelen- by day, a nursery, by night, a gorgeous, glass tented wedding venue with the most amazing views of the Shenandoah Mountains.
Stephanie and her girls chose to get ready at near-by venue, Walden Hall, with hair and makeup artists from Best Face Forward ensuring that each bridesmaid looked absolutely stunning. The Groomsmen prepped for the day at Woodbourne Estate, also their rehearsal dinner venue.
Once everyone was picture-perfect, they drove over to The Market at Grelen’s stunning Bloomfield Overlook for their First Look Photos, perfectly captured by incredible wedding photographer and personal friend to the Bride, Anna Marie Akins.
Their wedding day overflowed with special details to heighten her guest experience- from an interactive petal bar (for guests to gather and toss during the ceremony processional) to @BrickWallCoffee bar, an ice cream station and s’more fire pit, a selfie station and each guest’s monogram on individualized napkins personally by Stephanie’s own mother… this night was one not easily forgotten.
The most inspiring part of the entire experience though, was Alex and Stephanie’s undeniable excitement to begin their own adventure as husband and wife!
Stephanie and Alex, I wish you both more amazing adventures together than you could ever imagine. I hope that your joy and enthusiasm for each other grows as time passes on. Forgive each other, laugh at the small stuff, and hug each other every day. I’m so blessed to know you- you’re an inspiration to everyone you meet.
