Connection with Couples
Country Club Wedding – I met Liz and Jay back when I worked at 1757 Golf Club. I immediately felt connection with these two. Sometimes you just meet someone and you feel like you’ve known them forever. Life has a way of connecting you to people at just the right time.
At the time we all met, I was pregnant with Grayson, and I was nearing my end at 1757 Golf Club. The schedule was too crazy with a little one + a 1.5 hour commute to and from work was not feasible. I was feeling burned out and tired from long hours, then Liz and Jay came along. I am happy to say that while I never lost the joy that some wedding professionals can feel after years in the industry, I was tired from the long days and anxious about the change in life that was to come. Liz and Jay gave me back the energy and excitement at EVERY planning session we had. I needed that connection and energy in my last few months to push me through.
Country Club Wedding – Wedding Planning Sessions
Liz is a teacher and Jay has a background in events, so this dynamic duo was amazing to plan with. Liz was always really organized and Jay brought super fun ideas to the mix. And the way these two interacted with each other just radiated love and excitement. They really had an amazing vision for their day and every meeting with them was SO special because they always had personal, unique ideas to share!
Some couples come in and they have no idea what to do or where to begin- that can be SO fun because you get to help them weave their love story into their details and see everything come to life, but can also be difficult because you have to really give a ton of guidance.
Liz and Jay were not this type of couple, haha! They knew exactly what they wanted and it was so fun to hear all their ideas! A planner’s job is to listen to each couple, find out exactly what they want, and figure out the logistics of each idea to ensure it will happen in a smooth, cohesive way.
